Family Services Coordinator
About the Role
Baby University (Baby U) is an intensive family support program within the Community Engagement and Family Support Division under the Department of Human Service Programs for the City of Cambridge. Baby U is an innovative support program that serves Cambridge families who have children three years old and younger with priority given to families living in public or subsidized housing. The program provides parent education, playgroups, one-on-one visits, and beneficial community resources through workshops offered on Saturday mornings over a series of 14 weeks.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience
- Master’s degree Social Work with LICSW
- Minimum of three years’ experience working with diverse populations of young children and families required
- Experience with group facilitation and curriculum development
- Experience working in human service and community mental health
- Lived experience as a parent, guardian, or primary caregiver is preferred

Home Visitor Aide (10 hours/week during school year)
CPS Home-Based Early Childhood Education Program
Job Description
● Work with families with young children ages 1.5 -4 years old living in Cambridge
● Implement open ended play curriculum with children and parents
● Provide weekly home visits with 4 assigned families using program materials
● Participate in mandatory Tuesday weekly staff meetings and trainings
● Complete weekly documentation, evaluations and other written responsibilities
● Organize and lead group educational activities with assigned families
Requirements
● Experience and/or education in working with young children and their families
● Have an interest in working with families in their homes
● Relate well to young children, parents & professionals from diverse backgrounds
● Work well on a team member
● Be willing to learn and implement program curriculum and methodology
● Be dependable and flexible with strong management skills
● Have use of cell phone, email and the ability to get around the city
● Physical requirements include walking up flights of stairs and sitting on the floor
● Have a High School diploma
